CribMaster will be introducing the latest in tool control technology, the eDrawer™, at the MRO Americas Show, April 8-10, in Phoenix, AZ. Also, by special invitation, CribMaster will be speaking in the “Tool Control Challenges & Solutions” session on Tuesday, April 8 at 11:45am.
MARIETTA, GA (PRWEB) MARCH 25, 2014 – CribMaster, the global leader in tool control solutions, will be showcasing the company’s latest smart storage innovation, the eDrawer™, in booth #712. The company will also be demonstrating their leading RFID and vending solutions in the booth.
The full breathe of solutions offered by CribMaster provide every step in inventory management enabling positive tool control in today’s complex MRO environments. “We strive to have the right solution to help aircraft maintenance operations overcome the challenges centered around the processes of managing, monitoring, and maintaining the tools and supplies used every day in the lifecycle of an aircraft,” states Larry Harper, CribMaster President. “We are excited about the introduction of the eDrawer and believe it will have a significant impact on the aviation MRO industry.”
The eDrawer is a secure, electronic tool chest that streamlines the issuing process enabling multiple users to check tools in and out with ease. The system establishes accountability among users and provides greater transparency with tools to reduce the risk of FOD (Foreign Object Debris). With the simple user interface, tool inspections are fast, easy, and accurate.
Just as in any CribMaster solution, the authorized user self-authenticates by scanning their employee badge or using optional login methods. The cabinet unlocks and the employee has access to issue and return the stored tools. After scanning the appropriate barcode and quantity, the tool is removed or replaced, and the transaction is automatically recorded. Critical alert notifications are sent if tools are not returned in the appropriate time period.
The beauty of the system is when the need arises for a more advanced level of tool control, the system has an easy upgrade path to incorporate RFID tool tracking technology. As in all CribMaster solutions, the CribMaster software behind the system provides the critical data needed to manage and control the distribution of tools at the point of use. It is an ideal solution for managing and monitoring durable items while offering the flexibility to securely store other types of inventory.
